Detailed review about Jingle Spin Slot

Jingle Spin Jingle Spin is a clone/re-skin of EggOMatic slot – with the same Medium Volatility, built on a 5×3 grid and 20 fixed paylines. On top of the reels are Santa Claus’ assistants, catching goodies from the Wheel of Fortune and throwing them down to you if there’s a Wild symbol straight beneath.

These presents can be a cash win or (up to 2500x!) or a various number of Free Spins. Of course, the bounteous Santa keeps spinning the wheel of gifts for you, so the anticipation is high the whole jolly time.

The RTP of this slot is set at 96.48%, and the maximum win can reach up to 94 750 coins (max coinciding win in either the base or Bonus spins). So, even if you play modestly (with a small or average stake), you are assured of a merry good time with the Jingle Spin slot!

You can launch the DEMO version of the slot right here – via the link on our site.

Feedback from BNC testers on the Jingle Spin slot

  • At first sight, this seems like a funny, colourful, nicely designed game, with cheerful music and a humorous soundscape. But in our opinion, this slot (part of NetEnt’s X-mass series collection) will instantly let players’ hopes down. Its behaviour is comparable to EggOMatic’s performance, meaning – seldomly gives big bonus prizes from the Wheel. During our testing sessions, the Elfs tickled us with their hilarious noises but stayed empty-handed most of the time. When they finally dropped some winnings, they were about 2x-5x total bets. We hit 10x total bets a few times while we saw the bigger prizes, up to 125x, pass us by on the Wheel of Fortune.
  • Regarding the Free Spins, they didn’t land too often either. The fewer times they dropped, they were 12 at the most, even though the Wheel teases you with the possibility of 50 Free Spins. With the 12 bonus spins we’ve got, we reached slightly less than 50x total bets. Sure, this slot will issue some huge payouts at some point, but it will be very rare. Unlike with EggOMatic, here you can see all the prizes that pass you by on the Wheel of Fortune. In our humble opinion, this annoying feature seems designed by NetEnt, not for players’ profit but to empty their pockets slowly. Meanwhile, the developers didn’t waste too much effort and time creating the slot, with it being just one of those Christmas copies.
  • Honestly, NetEnt’s Santa was not gratifying to us!

Alternative tester’s opinion

  • The Swedish studio did not develop a brand new slot mechanic or feature but just made a Christmas version of EggOMatic, replicating the gameplay, algorithms, and mathematical solutions, i.e. delivering only a re-skin of the original slot. Due to a large number of empty spins and the small payouts (varying from 0.25x to a few times total bets) in the winning spins, one can only summarize that the slot doesn’t keep the balance all that well. Rewarding with more valuable combinations (of 10x to 30x total bets) now and then couldn’t cover all losses.
  • On the other hand, the additional winnings from the Wheel of Fortune did help to improve the balance somewhat.
  • Even though the prizes on the Wheel seemed lucrative and tempting (up to 125x total bets), the X-mas balls granted are mostly 5x total bets. The same counts for the Free Spins. 1 – they are not often triggered, and 2 – the balls with the high numbers are skipped completely (20+ up to 50!), so numbers from 7 to 10 Free Spins are all that you can get. The average number of Free Spins triggered is about 12 Spins, but a re-trigger can be received even more than once, i.e. the number can go over 19 Free Spins.
  • The winnings during Free Spins are the same as during the base game, except that the balls with coin prizes are more often caught, and when you land a Wild symbol ball, and it lands in the right place, you’re in for a big win up to 100x total bets! While the average payouts during Free Spins without Wilds are around 30x – 40x, winnings including Wild symbols can result in payouts of up to 140x – 160x total bets. It is possible to be rewarded 200x total bets when the Wild ball lands a few times in a row in extremely rare cases.

Personal tester’s opinion

As usual, NetEnt aims to please its fans, and they know just how to do it. Although the slot may not be all that original, the gameplay remains interesting. The noises the impatient assistants make while throwing balls or waiting for the next ball to be thrown to them, are hilarious.

Santa’s laugh is also very jolly and puts a smile on your face, even while you’re losing! Combined with the feel-good soundtrack, it makes this slot an entertaining experience overall, whether you win or lose.

Furthermore, this is not one of the usual slots with a separate bonus game, so all significant wins can only be dispensed with the help of an additional bonus feature. Without the X-mass balls, the winnings from the regular pay lines are handful and negligible. Good that there are Free Spins occasionally because they always contain prize balls on top.

Bonus features

  • The wild symbol replaces all symbols. The wild symbol also triggers the “Christmas Ball” feature if they are on the same reel.
  • Christmas balls contain 4 different prizes: spreading wild, free spins, cash prizes and a surprise ball.
  • “Spreading wild.” A few wild symbols will be in the neighbouring cells, which will help to form a higher combination.
  • “Free Spins.” You can win 7, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30 or even 50 free spins. During free spins, Christmas balls with prizes will always be added. In addition, free spins can be extended.
  • “Cash Prizes.” You can get 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 or 2 500 coins.
  • “Ball-Surprise.” It can transform into any of the balls explained above.

Christmas Wheel of Fortune

  • This is the main attraction of the game, keeping the player on its toes during every spin. There are numerous different gifts displayed on the wheel, varying from Coin Wins to bonus features and 50 Free Spins, of course – the ultimate gift. Unfortunately, there are also many empty sections on the Wheel.
  • All the balls first have to be selected on the Wheel (with Santa’s efforts), then they are passed between Santa’s five Elfs (sitting on top of the reels). Eventually, the balls can be dropped into a Wild present box (Hooray!) or leftmost into the X-mass tree (just for decoration).
  • The Wheel of Fortune is filled during the Free Spins, so you will certainly be spoiled with balls!

How to win at the Jingle Spin slot? (Conclusion)

  • Like always, we advise our readers to take the time and try the slot in free DEMO mode before spinning with real money.
  • We do not recommend playing the Jingle Spin slot, both while playing bonus money and for long-distance spins. The game doesn’t keep the balance well enough to sustain for longer sessions. Even healthy starting capital of 300x-400x total bets can be swallowed before you fulfill the wager requirements.
  • Regarding playing with real money, we recommend this slot for shorter sessions.
  • But be cautious – with the opening rounds, the Jingle Spin slot gives a false belief that it’s keeping the balance but then shifts over to ‘greedy’ behaviour and can reduce your credits to 0 in a jiffy.
  • If it doesn’t trigger Free Spins or a big win including Wild symbols within the first 50-80 spins, better move on and try your luck on the next slot.
